10 月 25 日消息，微软全新一代笔记本Surface Laptop 5于本月发布，处理器由上一代的英特尔 11 代酷睿升级到了 12 代酷睿，新增“仙茶绿”配色，没有 AMD 处理器版本。
根据外媒 Tom's Guide 测试，微软 Surface Laptop 5 在续航方面似乎“开倒车”了，没有打过 Surface Laptop 4 的 AMD 版本。
据测试，搭载 AMD R7 4980U 的微软Surface Laptop 4 续航达到了12 小时 4 分钟，其中包括网页浏览、播放视频和 OpenGL 测试，亮度设置为 150 尼特，连接到 Wi-Fi。
而在相同的条件下测试搭载英特尔i7-1255U 的Surface Laptop 5，续航只有9 小时 50 分钟，也就是比上一代差了2 小时 14 分钟。
微软此前表示，锐龙4000 Surface Edition 专为Surface Laptop 4 进行了优化，但在Surface Laptop 5 放弃了 AMD，相当于放弃了一项优势。
不过英特尔 i7-1255U 在 Cinebench 5.4 得分为 1674(单核)和 8709(多核)，明显高于 AMD R7 4980U 的 1173(单核)和 6748(多核)，看来性能提升的代价或许就是续航倒退。
